Where Our Philosophy Began
More than four decades ago, founder Lon Martin built CleanMark around a simple idea:
Find a need and fill it.
Lon was a problem solver who welcomed difficult labeling challenges. By day, he met with customers, learned what they needed, and sold labels. By night, he and his family made those labels themselves.
Those early years shaped how CleanMark still works today. With no unnecessary layers between a customer’s challenge and the people solving it, success depended on listening closely, responding quickly, paying attention to the details, and delivering results.
As customers experienced those results, they returned with new applications. Each challenge expanded CleanMark’s technical knowledge and helped the business grow.

A major turning point came with the development of cleanroom labeling technologies and clean-roll products for the electronics and disk-drive industries. That work moved CleanMark deeper into demanding manufacturing environments and established the engineering focus that continues to guide the company today.
The industries are broader now. The technologies are more advanced. The applications are more complex.
